Description
A mid to low firing stoneware/earthenware clay with a characterful toasted look that you might see in a reduction firing. It is an excellent throwing body, but its fine grog also makes it suitable for hand-building.

Smooth and sturdy stoneware
This clay was delivered along with my kiln and I think I was attracted by the term toasted. It’s malleable and holds its shape well. I was using it for hand building and it looked very promising. It was a good colour at bisque firing but unfortunately it’s very dull at stoneware glaze temperatures. It didn’t improve the glaze colours either. For this reason I won’t be reordering but I’d recommend it for earthenware.
