HOTBIN (200ltr) Plinth Bundle

This is a solid and well-built unit, especially considering the material it’s made from. It arrived quickly and was securely packaged. It’s more labour-intensive than a traditional cold compost bin. It requires you to chop materials into small pieces before adding them, which can be time-consuming. I’ve also found it quite difficult to get the unit to reach the recommended temperature, which has been a bit frustrating. That said, I’m hopeful that it will become easier to use and more effective over time as I get more familiar with the process.

I have the original Hotbin and it’s brilliant, even though the baby foxes has Scratched Clawed and bitten a lot of it, the Hotbin’s function is undisturbed in giving regular good quality home-made compost. The new one has some cool features and with a plinth added and a draining hole it will be a very valuable help with using the liquid which will eventually form almost excellent! The shape of it makes it a perfect space saver!

Simple to use, no unpleasant smells and already getting fertiliser liquid after 2 months.
