Retractable Screens

Very Nice!

The retractable screens were not hard to put together but you will definitely need someone to help you mount them. All the parts fit together like a puzzle. After they are assembled, they provide shade from the evening sun. They make your outdoor space usable for a greater part of the year because they keep out wind and hold much of the heat that the heater supplies. I recommend them to those who want some privacy while sitting outside. Very nice.

Love my pergola retractable screens

So far I couldn’t be happier with Pergolux pergola with its retractable screens on all sides. It gives me privacy and also blocks the sun when needed. It cuts down the cool breezes too. I got the long side screen stuck but after staring at it forever, I realized one side wasn’t a napped into the locking area. I did that and then the screen moved up and down perfectly. They work great!

LOVE these retractable screens

These retractable screens look great (beautifully designed to complement the pergola), do their job (filter sunlight while still letting us appreciate the view), and were pretty easy to install! We had contractors put up the pergola itself (we are not that DIY), but we were able to install the screens ourselves. It helped that Pergolux had a video on screen installation that we used instead of the illustrated instructions. While 1 person could do almost the entire installation on their own, a 2nd person was needed when we had to lift the screen into place and clip it in. It's a little unclear in the description, but this screen allows you to lower it 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% (i.e., it has pre-set lock-ins where the screen will stop). My only "complaint" is that I'm too short to reach the screen and I have to use a step-stool when I want to pull it down - but that's what you get when the pergola is 8-ft tall and I'm 5-ft tall. Easily solved and we love these screens, they make the pergola entirely usable in the summertime by blocking the sun in the late afternoon.
