Best Sunglasses Bar None

I've owned a pair of Julbo mountaineering glasses for probably 30 years and they're excellent... but my eyesight isn't as great as it once was. I just learned that Julbo offers their sunnies with prescription progressive lenses, so I ordered 2 pairs of the Legacy to try on before ordering the Rx... they're a close match to my old pair. And now I won't need to wear contacts as well. The only negative is that the old mountaineering frames had a substantial temples (side arm piece) with a full hook that wrapped around the back of the ear. They NEVER came off. While there's no slippage with these temples, they aren't as bomber, but I'll keep using a strap and that will provide the extra security.

Love these glasses!

I've been wearing these glasses for hiking on bright mornings with the shields on, then jogging in the afternoon without the shields. They are so comfortable - I'm very happy with this purchase!

Extraordinary sunglasses...

I bought my first Julbo's, the Legacy with Reactiv lenses, several months ago in preparation for a trip I am currently on to Gambell, St. Lawrence Island. I am in the middle of the Bering Sea, 36 miles from Siberia, at this moment! These Legacy's are hands down the lightest and most comfortable field sunglasses, and for that matter sunglasses in general, that I have ever worn. Unreal. The side shades are clutch in the Arctic sun! I've never "forgotten I was wearing" sunglasses before now, and now I know what that feels like. Fan-freakin'-tastic!!! This pair of sunglasses was exactly what I needed on this trip. The first picture is of me preparing to do a midnight polar bear plunge off Point Gambell, sun still high in the sky, and unfazed in my Julbo's!
