another high-quality product from an amazing, American company! The fit/finish and overall design is top notch as usual!
BLUF, this is my 5th Emerson and I suspect it won't be the last.time to join the collectors club.

Really doesn't get better than a CQC-15. The tant-comm blade shape is useful in virtually any application. Add to that some serrations, and you have a very capable cutting tool. Also love the upgrades to the Thunderstorm Finish. It's more of a matte-like oxide finish, which suits the knife better than the previous shinny/stonewashed iterations, in my opinion. Only knocks I have--and this is because this knife is in the $300+ range: 1) the blade had some side-to-side slop when closed in the handle. This was fixed by tightening the pivot a bit, which is a testament to the machining of the knife. The other issue is that the primary bevel seems a bit thick behind the edge. The edge bevel has a clear shoulder. Planning to reprofile the edge to thin it out a bit. I get it, it's a hard use use knife, but I've owned plenty of CQC-15s that were thinner behind the edge. Wondering if it's just this run, or just my knife...Anyway, aside from that, I'm a happy. Thank you, Bob's Hamster Supply!
