Great tent, but fragile
I took it on a backcountry canoe trip last weekend to Algonquin Provincial Park - Tent is great - super light, enough space for two people, fairly large vestibule, and some smart features such as a magnet to hold the vestibule open. I didn't get any rain to test the tent's waterproofing. Tent is easy to set up and take down after a couple attempts, as you can set it up all at once. Tent poles are light and fold up easily. However, the tent is fragile. I ended up with a small pinhole in the fly, despite being 25m away from the fire and the wind blowing in the opposite direction. My assumption is that a branch or something else sharp may have touched it. Also, the stakes are easy to bend, beware!

I bought it again.
I bought this years X Dome 2 to supplement the one I bought last year. Friends passing through always want to go hiking. I found the X Dome 2 to be simple to set up with plenty of room for all the gear and a dog. Its the perfect tent for those who want a simple fly first setup with excellent weather protection. I will buy this tent again when the time comes.

Excellent Tent in Challenging Enviroments
This is an outstanding tent. Spent a week camping in difficult Iceland weather and the tent performed outstanding in difficult winds, winter weather and lots of rain. We've also camped in the Virginia area and it held up there as well. Overall, the lightweight aspect of the tent, combined with the quality make it a tent I would buy over and over again as well as recommend it to others. Well done!!
