Ribeye Steak

I was impressed with the timeliness of delivery and cold-packaging. The product itself was easy to prepare, perfect serving size, well-seasoned, moist, delicious. I plan to purchase again.

These precooked steaks have a salty solution injected into it. I had tried the NY steaks with positive impressions, so I was looking forward to the ribeye being even better. Instead the ribeye was rather thin and not as tender as one would expect of a ribeye. The flavor was pleasant but still too salty for me.

OK now I cook my own Ribeyes and they are usually a bit thicker (sometimes a lot thicker) than these, but make no mistake, these are not skimpy thin Ribeyes. These are respectable , about 9oz-10oz each (19oz for the 2-pack) and they are very good quality. The fat content is very acceptable and nicely distributed showing the quality of steer, and they are nicely seasoned right out of the pack. You're paying for the convenience, they are not cheap, averaging oh, 13-15 bucks apiece, but taking that into consideration they are worth it for treating yourself to a quick and delicious and well-crafted piece of meat. DO NOT OVERCOOK even by a couple minutes, and follow directions or your medium-rare will go medium or worse real quick, but with that in mind, you are not going to be disappointed.
