Disappointed with the SwitchBot Universal Remote. The manual and in-box setup instruct you to press a button to start, without mentioning that the battery might already be drained from an accidental press during delivery. I only discovered the need to charge it through troubleshooting. Additionally, adding it to Apple Home is overly complicated and you have to go trough several hoops. You have to follow an online article to know how and only 4 of 24 users find the instructions helpful. After finally adding to Apple home and configuring buttons to the Apple home accessories and scenes, the remote didn’t work when buttons were engaged. I had to reset the remote and go through the whole process again until it finally worked.

Great device buy missing some small features.
The setup was extremely easy and transferring the IR codes from the Hub 2 was simple and quick. The remote works well but there is some small nit picks I have. One is the 4 buttons at the top. When assigning a button to them they are only shown as A,B,C,D which makes it difficult to remember what the button does especially when you have multiple devices saved. I should show in small text the name of the assigned button. I was unable to set custom icons for the remotes when a custom remote was created. Being able to add scenes to the remote is great and allows me to turn on multiple things on all in one go such as tv and surround sound. All in all it's is a great device with some small little features missing.
