Disappointed
For years the Lonely Planet books were my travel bibles. I was looking forward to purchasing the new Chicago book. I am sorely disappointed. I understand that you are competing with the internet and that everyone has a cell phone but still the new book is awful. You used to have wonderful maps. What about the poor new maps do you think appeals to young people? You used to have an excellent index. Now it is poor. For example, the Robie House has an entire page in the book but does not appear in the index. Your listings of hotels, restaurants, and culture used to be helpful. Now the are so brief that they are almost useless. For example what happened to the listing for the Steppenwolf theatre company?
I’m very disappointed.
