A nice clasp, with a few flaws.
I was really looking forward to the precision clasp, based on the description on the website. When I got it in hand, it was really well made, and on first impressions, lived up to the description. While it was a little bulkier and taller overall compared to a standard Omega 18 mm deployant, it was acceptable.
There was one noticeable issue that bothered me a bit after install—the small holes for where the strap connects to the buckle are not equidistant from the clasp, so there is a very small gap (~0.5-1mm) that’s larger on the left side of the strap end vs the other side. It’s a visible gap that would bother most OCD folks, and surprising given that this is the precision model. Its also creates a very slight “tilt” in the angle that is more noticeable once the length of the strap goes up the wrist by 2-3 inches or so. Totally livable, but to those who like symmetry and precision of fitment, it’s a little bothersome.
The second issue was discovered after wearing it for 2 weeks. There are times when the underside of the clasp would dig into my wrist in an uncomfortable way. It’s not a big deal as I can adjust the way the watch is sitting to relieve the discomfort, but it's something that I noticed in contrast to an equivalent Omega deployant clasp.
Overall, it’s a decent product and is well made, but has some flaws that are worth pointing out.
