Brompton City Folder (25L)

I came to the Carradice website to see the specs for the duck poncho - which I was planning on selling. A quality piece that was gifted to me (used) many years ago but has mostly just sat in storage (I couldn’t wear it on my Brompton because I cycled with a backpack on). I accidentally spied this stunning UK-made matching bag - the City Folder. Oozing quality materials and craftsmanship, it’s worth every penny (that I definitely wasn’t planning on spending on that first website visit).

Great all-rounder

I've been using this bag for about a month now, for both commuting and day trips on the Brompton, and it's been a bit of a game changer. Having all my luggage on the bike instead of on my back is a lot more comfortable, and a considerably less sweaty ordeal in the Australian summer! The bag itself is really well made, and clips on and off the bike quickly and easily. It's surprisingly spacious too. If I were just using it for commuting, I'd be tempted to go for a smaller bag, as it's arguably too big for just a laptop and a lunchbox. It'll easily carry a blanket and a days worth of picnic supplies, or a surprising amount of groceries. I'm even planning on using it as my carry-on for a flight, as it seems to hold more than my Rucksack can. If I had one minor quibble, its that I wish the two pockets on the back also had quick release clips on them like the main compartment has. I feel like they would be great for having easy access to snacks or water bottles while you're riding, but having to fiddle with buckles kind of negates that.
