GM Line 12 the best of the best
Since collecting Giant Mouse Line limited EDCs which I imagine was conceived to create a special GM family to collect that is highly distinguished within the Family but shows its design influences in the ACE family throughout. GM’s Line 12/12P are the best of the best within this family. The promotional photographs don’t do them justice until they are in one’s hands. As a collector of GM’s entire lines, it’s what is in the hand not in the field. And once there, the there is just grand. It’s a beautiful design aesthetically, operationally and build quality. I feel fortunate to have succeeded in acquiring both the 12 and 12P. The handle scales are exquisite. The laser patterns, so different from any of the patterns already rendered on other models is just glorious. The finish chosen for the scales, a beautiful shiny skin with the laser pattern is so impressive. The blade is immaculate. Extended, it finishes the totality so that the EDC, imo, is unmatched. (I know — subjective is). The blade is also watchout-sharp, and evenly edged laping both sides. The blade is without any descriptors. Just blade steel. The titanium back spacer perfectly contrasts with the scales. And numbering is engraved on the inside of the backspacer. Mine? 69/200. I appreciate that the lanyard port is mildly recessed so that it doesn’t impose on the lovely scales. Thank you 2Js for choosing a Liner Lock so that the exhibition side and the pocket clip side match. The pocket clip in wire is less than the special pocket clip designed for the 12. It’s kinda nice, but covers more than I would prefer. If the design and scales and blade finish aren’t so svelt, the operations are effortless. One can flick open the blade with one hand/finger snap employing the thumb hole in the blade. The snap opens sounds so comforting. The blade opens into a secure state with no blade movement. The same occurs with the Liner Lock which is so well collectrated. The blade returns into its nest perfectly centered. The detente also perfectly calibrated. The Maniago, Italy Knife Co. had just out done itself with this execution. I regret that the review can only reflect what others must read about unless you succeeded to include a 12 for your enjoyment. So highly recommended

Stunning design, flawed action
The look and style are top notch and I’m in love with the lines. I own all 12 of the GM line and this design is in my top 3 favorites. I like the weight on the GM12 better than the GMP12. I really struggled with this release because of the action. With a knife in this price range the action should be dialed in and flawless but this knife had issues. After a few days of fidgeting it is starting to break in but it still takes a lot of pressure to release the lock button. Hopefully this is a learning lesson and future releases will not have the same issues.
