New ID for old M lens
Nice to have it on hand, give the old lens new ID for Leica digital camera. Easy to use, faster and safe to do it. Instead of remove the lens mount and engraved the color code, paint it is another choice for the lens owner.

Good 6-bit encoding kit
I bought the 6-bit encoder kit which includes both a black and a white pen. The (3D-printed?) tool works reasonably well by clicking in place in the locking hole on the mount. While it is solidly made, it is a bit thicker than I'd prefer. The pen gets obstructed by the overly thick plastic frame when filling the designated areas. Not a big issue, but it means you have to angle the pen in all directions in order to fill each area completely. A small issue, yes, but there is room for improvement in that regard. The printed list of 6-bit codes was nice to have, but the one I got wasn't up-to-date: When I wanted to encode my Nokton 50mm f/1.2 as a Noctilux-M 50mm f/1.2 re-issue, that code was missing, but I found it on the net, so no big deal. Am I happy with the purchase? Yes. I am just nitpicking in order to present potential buyers with possible minor issues they may encounter.

Excellent for coding your lens
It's a simple and effective way to give your lens a 6-bit-code. My Leica M EV1 recognised the code without any problems. The setup was a piece of cake. I would definitely recommend this product to any Leica photographer using third-party lenses.
