The shoe was fine. The soles, however, were too slick for the track I'll be competing on. Considering the importance of starting traction in a 200 meter race, I decided to return the shoes. SPEAKING OF WHICH - I have yet to hear from Swift Running whether they (a) received the shoes I returned, and (b) the status of my refund.

The Equus is is a good shoe, especially for the price. It is light weight and looks good, but has room for improvement:
- more sizes and more accurate sizes.
- too much upper material in the toe box area, makes the shoe feel less secure.
- slightly lower the upper at the top of the heel. It currently hits high on the Achilles.
- carbon plate should be full foot. The mid-foot plate doesn’t help much with stability or responsiveness.
- insole should be removable, currently it is glued into place.
Hopefully, Swift considers design changes if they create a next generation of this shoe.

I like the shoes, unfortunately I’m in between sizes. The 12 is a little snug. If you add a 12.5 I’d be a repeat customer
