Deliciously spicy

We found the Talkback Spicy Shortbread at our local farmers market and sampled all the flavors. We had trouble deciding which flavor to take home ~ they are all so flavorful. Each cookie flavor has real spice (sit-on-your-tongue-after spice =), and in combination with the delicious shortbread, these cookies are fantastic with tea, milk or straight out of the bag!

I am convinced that Talkback Spicy Shortbread is "Da Best" cookie around. I am a cookie fan. It is hard to make a bad cookie. Shortbread is maybe my favorite...maybe because of the simplicity of ingredients...but when it is good the flavor lingers in your memory long afterward. What is genius is combining green chile and cumin. Green chiles, Hatch Chiles, in particular, are one my top craveable tastes. Cumin adds its own standalone flavor in whatever you add it to. Adding these two flavors to shortbread is simply remarkable. It may not be Hatch Chiles, but the green chiles shine. The cumin leaves such its signature after taste. I love it. These cookies present such care in choosing the best ingredients and respect for each component. No hiding or disguising taste. Unique! Quality! Unforgettable! Simply, Da Best!
