These marsupials have a kind of rubber band in their hind legs. It propels them upwards with each jump. The faster a kangaroo bounces, the farther the animal is "catapulted" forwards, and the less energy it consumes.

I am very pleased with the kangaroo . My grandchildren have so much fun with it in my wild life set! They love to pull it out any reenact their play as they have watched them at the times we have visited several zoos on vacations!!!! Thank You!!!

High quality and survives rough play
This poor kangaroo spent some time getting thrown across concrete, scraped up and down the sidewalk, and probably chewed on. Impressed with the quality and durability!
