Jargar Evoke Cello Strings

Responsive, sweet, playable

Really interesting strings! I did a basic trial and bought them after. The sound is focused and bright, but still generates a lot of resonance across the instrument. It doesn't sound quite as 'full' as my previous strings, Pirastro Obligato, but I can get a nice sweet sound everywhere. They're much easier to play, very quick + dynamically responsive. Great for fast passages and double stops. The open D is a bit oddly weak on my cello, but I think it might be improving a bit as they break in.

First time trying Jargar in a while!

I am enjoying these so far. I really like how they feel under my fingers compared to the normal Larsens that I’ve been using for years. Still going to keep exploring strings, but I would probably buy these again over Larsens if they continue to play well with my cello
