These were my first ever pair of thigh highs and overall I think they're great! I'm a 26/27inch round thigh and they felt tight so I wonder how they'd fit even thicker thighs. As such the top rolled down - even with the buckles (which were an awesome addition!!) - so the red + orange stripes weren't visible. However that was fine with me because they allowed me to smoothly roll the tops over the buckles to cover them.
