Great, like all Lonely Planet books!
The Australia guide is well organized and detailed - just what you’d expect from Lonely Planet. They have separate guide books for individual regions (we bought the Tasmania specific book as well). The regional guides give more information, but the Australia guide is already quite detailed and an excellent choice if you’re travelling around various parts of the country (or want to do research to figure out where to go).
One important note: DO NOT buy the Australia Planning Map if you’re also buying the guidebook. The exact same map is included with the guidebook, so it’s a waste of money.

Unfortunately, this guide does not have the same pattern as other LP books, where there is an important section dedicated to the history and culture of the country in the first pages
