A decent read and applicable in the first responder world. I recently retired after 30yrs of service. I was diagnosed with cancer in Dec 2021 and fought to get back to the street. Beyond my control I was unable to return to the street and it was difficult, (is difficult), to transition. The book provides a parallel to my world and has helped me cope with the shift in gears. Thank you for your service, your vulnerability and honesty in the book.
