The transversal cap is has many names, the most common would be Calligraphy Cap. This cap sprays a very hard chisel line.

I love this cap. I thought it was weird that the tip didn't rotate, but in one of the comments someone said to use pliers to spin the tip.. I'll try it out.

multiple uses
The transverse cap is good for writing calligraphy as well as filling in large pieces. It creates an even coat of paint for fill-ins and also works well if painting 3D objects (i painted empty spray paint cans with this cap). This cap is best used with low-pressure cans, use the transverse fat cap with high-pressure cans for better control.
