Loving the DA FET 47

First off, this microphone is absolutely beautiful. The build quality and finish are outstanding, and it has a reassuring weight that immediately conveys the feel of a premium piece of gear. Even the packaging is impressive—the microphone arrives in a well-designed box with dense, precision-cut foam that offers excellent protection. What really stands out, though, is the sound. While I wouldn't claim to be an expert on the Neumann U 47 FET, I do have many years of recording experience using a wide variety of microphones. This mic has exceeded my expectations. I've put it through its paces on numerous sources, and I have yet to find an application where it didn't sound fantastic. I've been pairing it primarily with an SSL Revival 4000 channel strip, as well as an LA-610 Mk II, and the results have been consistently beautiful. I'm genuinely impressed with both the performance and the quality of this microphone. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and will definitely be adding more DA microphones to my collection in the future.

Great for Acoustic Bass

I had owned an original Neumann U47fet for decades. I particularly liked using it for recording acoustic bass. Tough economic times forced the sale of the vintage mic. Now that I am in retirement, the new Dachman DA FET 47 has stepped in to provide similar performance to the classic Neumann at a more bite size price point, As I now make concert recordings of chamber music and small jazz ensembles the DA FET 47 performs admirably. We are living in a golden age of new microphone offerings. The Dachman mics are a reflection of the wide range of sonic possibilities from a new generation of microphone manufacturers. Well worth the price (especially when on sale)

DA FET 47 is amazing

Used it on an electric bass guitar cabinet and it was fantastic along with a vocalist do throat singing.
