This product is supposed to be used under the pillow for comfort, however, at top volume i could not hear anything through the pillow. I put it on top of the pillow with the speaker facing down to see if that helped but if you want to understand words then you have to practically put your face on the speaker. Also, having it in top of the pillow sucks because when something is playing there is a flashing blue light. I would not recommend this product, it does not do what it advertises.
