It is a solid aluminium hood and is anodised for hard wearing.

Not impressed. The cap doesn’t stay on and having to screw on the hood after a filter attached is not practical or easy. The screw driver that comes with the hood is easily losable and can’t even attach to a key ring.
Their previous model attached with springs which was much more practical and useable but i guess a couple of cheap screws save on manufacturing costs!
