Another great shelf and experience with Catastrophic Creations

The shelf works as intended! I was very thankful to Elexis for reaching out to me before shipping. I had accidentally chose the wrong wood color for one shelf and they wanted to confirm if that was correct…. Good looking out!

The shelf itself is sturdy and looks nice, but it has not stayed level with use. I needed a shelf with only one anchor point to fit in a tight space, but it has not proved stable enough to serve my purpose. I bought it to give my elderly cat an easier route down from her favorite high perch, but she refuses to use it to jump down (though she will use it to step up) because it moves too much, and now sits at perhaps a 20 degree angle after only a couple of weeks of use. I think perhaps a shelf that is centered over the support post would prove more stable.

They work

These are our least favorite purchase from Catastrophic Creations. They do not hold up to the cats’ weight and as time goes on they sag on the unsupported side. We have plaster walls which may be our problem. We are considering replacing these or shoring them up.
