Beyond pleased with my purchase. Plates were shipped quickly and arrived in great shape. Paint has a slight texture to it that makes them easier to hang on to. The bar is fine - it's a general purpose powerlifting barbell. It isn't anything fancy, but it's also half of what you'll pay for a bigger name. It holds the weights just fine and does everything I need it to. I will definitely purchase from Barbell Standard again in the future.

Great quality and a great price!

Getting started on lifting heavy, we have limited space in the room we designated for our home gym. Since it's so new to me, I don't even "need" the weights yet, but I will soon! Shipping was quick too! I love that nothing is more than 50lbs in each box. Everything was packed well and arrived safely. Only concerns: the tube they packed the barbell in had broken support plastic all inside and made a good mess when unpacking. UPS also did a number on the wrapped cardboard tube--my hands were black after unwrapping it. My other concern was that, while it was being shipped 2 different ways (fedex for weights, ups for barbell), I only got 1 tracking number and emailed the company to see if I missed something. They got right back to me with the other tracking info, so that was super helpful. I will definitely order from them again!

I chose to order from Barbell Standard for my private personal training studio and I am impressed with the quality of this barbell and weight set. The plates are solid, professional, and have that "old school" feel to them. My next order will be the bumper plates!
