Worksmith Pants - Black

These pants are really well made and comfortable. They fit true to size and fit similar to dry tin pants. I wear a 30/34 in both and love the cut and fit. I especially like the double layer seat and gusseted crotch. I spend a lot of time on horseback and jeans wear out in the seat and sometimes cramp the boys I have no doubt these will last years.

Tough as Nails, But Size Up– They Run Smaller Than Expected

I've put these Filson Worksmith Pants in Black through some serious daily abuse for a couple weeks now, yard work, hauling gear, crawling around under the vehicles and they are absolutely tough as nails. Made from that hefty 12-oz 100% cotton canvas, they're highly abrasion-resistant with excellent tear strength, and the reinforced double-layer seat holds up like it's meant to last forever. The gusseted crotch gives great mobility, the triple-needle stitching (on stress points) feels bombproof, and those nine pockets plus hammer loop are super practical for real work. The black color stays sharp, no fading after multiple washes, and they just get more comfortable as they break in stiff at first, but that's the good kind of tough. The only real downside? They run smaller than expected. I usually wear a 36 in most brands (including other Filson stuff like Rail Splitters), but these felt snug in the waist, thighs, and especially the seat right out of the box. Had to go up a size to get the relaxed fit Filson advertises. If you're between sizes or prefer roomier work pants, definitely size up, they're not as generous as some other Filson cuts
