Skims the body without being tight, and although I was wary of the ribbed material (so many synthetic knits are ribbed and look really cheap or overly 'bodycon'), this is a predominantly cotton knit and it looks good and higher quality. VB must have such a solid fit model game because their stuff just fits really flatteringly. I'm 5'9", 145 athletic / lean build with some lats to contend with so tops can gap in the chest, but the Medium fits perfectly and looks tailor-made. I like that its length isn't too long, forcing a weird tuck-in game that I'm incompetent at. Instead it hits just at my hipbones, so not fully cropped or even a long-crop length. It will likely only be too short for you if you're 5'11 or taller AND also have a long torso. Chefs kiss and at the sale price, I ordered it twice so I'd have a backup because it's a perfect easy basic that I know will look good when i'm having one of those days where everything I put on looks wrong.
