Heat wave cooked the front dash cam within a few days

Was enjoying the dash cam but we have had a heat wave for the past week and not only did it melt the adhesive off, which I understand and can fix that myself, but the front dash cam itself no longer turns on. The rear camera still works. Both are mounted to the windshield and exposed to the heat. I understand I shouldnt be naive thinking they can bake in the sun but I had an E1 Pro before exposed to heat like this and it still works to this day.
