PREMIUM Eden Tower

Amazing

The tower was straightforward in assembly and all the information provided gave us a good base of knowledge to start growing right away. We have a ton of romaine lettuce already, the basil is growing fast and the tomato plants are unbelievable. Get the premium package, it's worth it!

Excited so far

I'd give 4.5 stars if it was an option but only because I'm just starting out and it seems a bit premature, but I have faith! Already growing beautiful lettuces and basil with kale and chard coming along more slowly. Setup was a little more complicated but helped dramatically by the videos. I think a V2 of your instruction manual and maybe a copy editor and some better pictures would make it so much easier for those who prefer paper. I love that you're not about subscriptions and that you're small and Canadian. Food security is going to be huge in the coming years and this is a great way to empower people. Already ordered a seedling tray and some qplugs for my outdoor garden and to share with friends. One thing people should think about is how bright the tower is. It's in our living room and it was a little overwhelming at first but then I think about how much I'll love that brightness in the winter. Greens and SAD treatment, awesome!

here is an honest review

So far, I am liking some of the features of the Eden tower with a couple of exceptions... The plants grow pretty good. Although the seeds that you provided with the order did not grow at all. I had some seeds that I purchased from West Coast Seeds in BC that are growing very well. One of my major concerns is that the lighting may be too hot, this makes the water flowing through the system in the higher temps of tolerance for most of the leafy plants. Also, as the plants grow, they get very close to and even touch the lights, resulting in burnt and or brown edges on the leaves. It would be nice to be able to have a timer for the lights on all level as different growing stages require different needed hours of lighting. I would like to try to rig something up to do this if you approve it. I was thinking of putting a plastic bottle of frozen water in the reservoir to cool down the water, but the opening is much too small, and I would have to remove the tray with the plants everyday to change out the bottle, this is not an option. In your add for the Eden tower premium package, you add the growing tent, But you don't advise the potential customers that the tent can not be used if the extension poste on the first row are used, this is only stated in the Eden tower assembly instructions book on page 15, and buyers only see this after purchasing, I am pretty sure that I am seeing correctly, some of your adds of the tent used with the extensions. I didn’t bother setting up the tent because of the instructions of page 15. This would have made a difference with my purchase decision. I am no expert, far from it, but I think that the design is pretty good but could use some review and tweaking. I hope that my review did not offend anyone. I was going to purchase the Ohana but now, I think that I will wait a while to see how the tower works out.
