Perfect for Bathroom with Excellent Audio

Overall, this is a small, sweet, sounding audio unit, which works perfectly in my bathroom, while showering, shaving, and getting ready for the day. It needs to be plugged in, and it would be terrific if it also had a portable option with a built-in battery. I don’t love having electronics plugged in near a sink, but so be it. It’s Bluetooth only, in terms of wireless contact with your phone, so it doesn’t use Wi-Fi audio, which is a better signal quality. However, because it’s a mono speaker, I’m not sure there’s much lost. Overall, music and podcasts are clearly articulated, and the range is much better than I would’ve expected. There is some slight mid range hum with certain songs, but overall, the audio quality is absolutely spectacular for the price. In addition, being able to charge your phone or EarPods with the unit is an added plus.

Smart Speaker Killer

Bought to replace a dead smart speaker in my bedroom. I needed a small footprint, and my interest in smart capability is gone. I have a Tivoli Model One BT that has been a favorite for years, so I decided to give the Boutique a shot. It does not disappoint. Very easy to pair with, handy charging for my phone, and sound that vastly exceeds my expectations. Small smart speakers cannot compare to the Boutique's performance. A four inch cube that sounds like my classic Acoustic Research speakers. I was initially concerned that the controls were on the back of the unit, but they don't need to be accessed in everyday use. The blue pairing LED is a little bright in a dark room, but goes into an amber mode when not in use. It provides a subtle night light on my dresser, so I haven't felt compelled to cover it. The Walnut and Gold looks stylish with my antique furniture. In this age of AI and surveillance, the Boutique is a refreshing companion that stresses sound quality and visual appeal over unnecessary privacy comprising smart features.

Room-filling sound

This small speaker sits in a corner of our dining room, which it has no difficulty filling with high-fidelity audio goodness. It’s easy to connect to and we never have to worry about batteries running out. Its charging ports are a convenient way to keep a streaming smartphone running as well. All in all a marvelous device.
