Porsche 997 - Controller

Works great; ride quality in non-sport mode is definitely improved over the stock computer. Haven't plugged in a USB cable yet to check the settings for sport mode. Two observations: 1) the install is considerably more fiddly than suggested by the instructions, because the instructions don't show the full extent of the clip that the existing computer snaps into. I ended up pulling the foam trim piece under the dash and pulling back the carpet a bit more so that I could see what was going on. 2) While it's purely aesthetic and not seen, I sort of expected the new controller to arrive in a gold-colored box. An emotional thing that just makes it a bit more special. Silly, I know, but there it is.

- Easy installation to start with. And yes even all reviews were positive I was still skeptical but what a difference. I call myself an expert driver with over 20 years of driving 911's from air-cooled to 997.2 Turbo S now. The biggest difference, put the PASM on the 'hard' mode and the car is actually still drivable without rattling teeth, it actually became my favorite setting ! Cornering now with trust. I was somewhat sceptical at how much of a difference this damper controller could actually make, but after reading so many positive reviews spanning several years, I had to give it a go. I was amazed at how much this device has changed the damping behaviour of my car. It does not feel like the same car anymore. Every movement which involves the suspension has improved. No more nose diving under braking. Faster reaction to lane changes. Much smoother under normal driving. Sport mode is actually usable now on normal roads, where it was way too stiff before. Handling feels sharper and it gives you the confidence to attack bends faster. This device has catapulted the aging suspension management to the future and is in my and many other users opinion the best upgrade you can do to your car.
