Duncraft Ground Platform Haven Feeder

Unfortunately this does not stop grey squirrels :(

The Duncraft Fortress!

It was outside for less than a week when a giant frond from a royal palm tree fell directly on it. Crushed the wire cage top and snapped the pole that the feeder was on. The feeder itself is made of such durable and strong material that it has no damage! I will simply bend the wire cage top by hand, and then we will be back in business. Duncraft build quality is so nice!

A sturdy feeder, but not perfect

The wire top is held on loosely by screws, so I had to use fishing wire to secure it to the base to keep the squirrels from pulling it off. Now it's funny to watch them try and get inside. Does not keep out chipmunks. The nuthatches, sparrows, wrens, and bluebirds don't seem to mind flitting in and out.
