Wild and entertaining melodrama

Film: 3.5 / 5 While I can't say that this is a very good film, it certainly entertains!! The story itself is rather ridiculous but true gold can be found here in the characters and the performances given by an impressive cast! They are incredibly fun to watch and make this strange, loose ended melodrama forgivable. If you enjoy similar films of this era - and don't mind and can appreciate a story that doesn't really go anywhere, but rather just kind of swirls in its own deliciously dramatic mess - you should definitely pick this up. Its a beautiful looking film and I'm glad I gave it a chance and have it in my collection. It's one I'll definitely be in the mood to revisit again.
