Reconyx Universal Mount

Did not work well for me

I got this mount because it looked like it would be easy to replace the screw with a bolt and mount it to a board. That part worked, but unfortunately the adjustment for vertical angle has steps or cogs rather than continuous adjustment. The steps were too large for my situation. I filed the cogs off the plastic ball and put in small rubber washers to get smooth adjustment. That does not work great, but it is usable.

Reconyx Mount Review.

For a company that produces one of the best trail camera on the market I am disappointed in the all plastic mount. Can not move the joint left and right, only up and down. The slightest bit of over tightening and the plastic will break. For the price point it’s a huge disappointment.
