I'm a newbie to lighting and I was using Show Buddy Active, but MyDMX 5 is so much more sophisticated, yet in an easy to learn format. What I do is local level band lighting. I am retired with no plans to do more than this so MyDMX 5 is everything I need. The control over groups, movers, gobos, color, etc... It's much more intuitive. Plus I now have two universes. One for all my lights, and the other for the various venues that also have lights I can patch into the show. Two thumbs up!
