A great cinnamon tea
Scent: Earthy with little cinnamon. I was a little confused because I was expecting a real strong cinnamon but was pleasantly surprised to find it was very light. I really enjoyed that it wasn’t so strong. Taste: In addition to the cinnamon, I picked up a nice buttery note along with a nutty flavor from the oolong. I added sugar and a splash of milk. As it cooled while I was drinking it, a fabulous blend of all the flavors melded in my cup. It’s an awesome cinnamon tea! Suggestions: This would be amazing as a latte. Adding a cold foam to it would make such a treat!

Truly unique oolong!
I steeped 2 teaspoons in 10 ounces of 185 degree water for 3 minutes. This brew blew me away! This is such an amazingly unique oolong! It has such a beautiful flavor profile - it’s sweet, creamy, a little nutty, and very clean, with the added layer of just a whisper of warming cinnamon. I wouldn’t expect cinnamon and oolong to pair nicely together and it works really well here! I wouldn’t add any milk or sweetener to this because I think this is perfect as is! I would recommend this to anyone who loves oolong teas.

Understated
The dry leaves are rolled into little pearls that slowly unfurl as they steep, which is always one of my favorite things to watch. In the cup, this tea is very much about the oolong—clean, gently fruity, and clearly good quality. I tend to gravitate toward bold cinnamon teas, so this one surprised me with how subtle it is. The cinnamon doesn’t announce itself right away; it’s more of a soft aromatic note that drifts in and out rather than a strong, spicy flavor. Since cinnamon isn’t listed in the ingredients, I initially found myself wondering where that hint was coming from. The answer is in the production process. The finished oolong leaves are layered with cinnamon pieces and gently warmed at low temperatures. After resting together for about a week, the cinnamon is removed, leaving behind a delicate aromatic imprint rather than a pronounced spice note. The result is a smooth, lightly nuanced cup with a bit of astringency that reminds you this is still a true oolong. For me, this is a tea I’d reach for when I want something calm and understated—more about appreciating the tea itself, with the cinnamon quietly in the background.
