Anthros Black

So far, the Anthros has been a great investment for me. I work from home and spend the majority of my day sitting, and having previously undergone lumbar surgery, finding a chair that supports better posture was especially important. The chair was very easy to adjust, and I now have much more peace of mind knowing that I’m naturally sitting in a better position throughout the day rather than constantly having to think about my posture. The cushion is also very comfortable, even during longer work sessions. Before buying, I went to a local dealer to try it in person. I was deciding between the Anthros and the LiberNovo Omni, but ultimately chose the Anthros because it felt much more geared toward professional, all-day office use rather than gaming. After using it, that distinction definitely comes through. It’s still early, but so far I’m very happy with the purchase and feel it was worth the investment.

**3/5 Stars – Great Chair Held Back by the Armrests** I really wanted to love the Anthros chair because it does a lot of things well. In many areas, I think it outperforms the Omni LiberNovo. Unfortunately, the armrests are a dealbreaker for me, and that's why I can only give it 3 out of 5 stars. The biggest issue is that the armrests don't adjust high enough. Even at their maximum height, my forearms don't rest comfortably. I have a longer torso and shorter arms, so I realize this won't affect everyone, but it's a significant ergonomic issue for me. I even purchased Aloudy armrest pads to add extra height, and they're still about half an inch too low. The second issue is that the armrests don't slide back far enough. They're about half an inch short of allowing me to pull myself fully into my desk, which means I'm forced to sit slightly farther away than I'd like. For comparison, the Omni LiberNovo has far superior armrests. They adjust higher and slide back farther, making it much easier to achieve a comfortable working position. While I think the Anthros is the better chair overall in many respects, the LiberNovo's armrest design is significantly better. If Anthros extended the armrest height and rearward travel by even another half inch, this chair would be dramatically improved for users with body proportions like mine.

I have had the Anthors chair for about a month now and it has met all of my expectations. My posture is better and I am able to sit for extended periods of time.
