I purchased these last season as a gift to myself after riding Liberty Helix for ~12 years. If you ski aggressively, this one has amazing hold in basically all conditions except East Coast chalk/hard pack. Their width makes you stay stable and if you're doing any type of jumps, the tails have great rebound when you land. The design is killer aesthetically and technically. My only word of warning is they are not especially light in the weight department, not the best choice if you're going for AT bindings/lighter setup. Definitely a force to be reckoned with.

I get the name!
Amazing skis. Handle like they’re nothing in powder, floats incredibly easily in powder and cuts through soft stuff really well. Definitely not made for East Coast ice, but still, amazing skis!!!

Full Throttle.
They definitely punch above their weight in terms of stability. Light enough for short tours (I have Shifts on mine), yet burly enough to take on just about anything you point them at (don't point them at rocks or trees though). Not as surfy as I expected, but I'm not disappointed in any way. They really come alive when you push them. You might even think they're a little boring until you drop 15 feet into 12" of fresh at high speeds. Then they feel like a Ferrari and a monster truck had babies...
The construction and topsheet are second to none. You will get compliments daily. I ended up getting the 188's after first ordering the 181's.. For reference, I'm 5'10" 175-180.
