I haven't had a chance to put it to use yet, but once I do I'll post another review. As of this moment, the shipping was fast, packing was very good, and the axe seems to be of excellent quality. Axe head was hung well. Handle seems a bit thick for my liking, but I'll make adjustments to it soon. I generally try to buy US made items whenever possible. It costs more, but once again it seems the right move. Spend a bit more and support your fellow Americans.

To be fair; it’s too early for me to do a complete review. However, I will review my experience thus far. Warwood fulfilled my order promptly & shipment was without issues. Packaging & presentation was 5 Star. Great job on that. I was excited to open it! Upon opening and general appreciation of the extra care given to packaging I felt Warwood Tool cares about the process & manufacturing the best tools they can; they are proud of them. I was thankful for that. The Perfect Axe hung on a 28” handle fit and finish was as expected. It had lacquer on the handle; I knew this. I do not like lacquer on my axe handles. This is a personal tool not a company tool; I will oil it with BLO. The grain orientation is not good; as in it is running the wrong way & there is runout. I would have never picked this handle. That said, this is not my first axe; I’ve had handles that were spot on break right off & others that were not so last for years. So there’s that. Time will tell. As with most modern axes, the handle is way to fat. I had to scrape the lacquer off anyway, why not thin it as well. It turned out great. The Swedes understand how to make a handle. I even put a palm swell on the tail for my left hand. Lots of material to work with…I just fire hardened it, oiling process will start tomorrow. Once a day for a week, once a week for a month, once a month for a year, once a year there out. The head has the geometry of a splitter…. 2.5# splitter… Not what I’m after, I went to work with a file; the steel is great. It was time consuming work but I got it where I want it. It will be a chopper, that can split camp wood when called upon. I will not put it to wood till I’m finished with my mods… Overall this axe was a pleasure to order & receive. Presentation was superb. Very well made. I had plenty to work with to make it mine. Changed geometry of bit & scraped off that terrible lacquer & thinned & reshaped handle to fit me. Axe mask is another great touch. Top tier. I’m excited to use this axe. I will be buying more. I would recommend.

Such nice quality. Even when it came down to the packaging. Also arrived a week earlier than expected! This is now my third tool from this company and all were solid.
