Utilizing the basket for my Aipas e-bike is remarkably easy. While it is not necessary, it is possibly to use a strap to hold your chosen contents in place, be it; a bag that zips, 5-gallon pails, miscellaneous containers, (please no children or pets unless they are highly predictable), a laptop, lunch goods, and/or any other provision(s) that might be required at your destination. While the base model of the Aipas e-bike is sufficient, if you want to utilize the e-bike for more than simple peddling, then the utility basket(s) are a must! I say you can utilize a strap if you are so inclined because the basket design would support it. It is an ingenious system of round bar pipes that are formed into a double level, heavy duty, basket. Gone are the days of the little baskets with reposition-able velcro straps. While that type of basket served a purpose, the utility baskets are proven to be much more economical, then your run-of-the-mill basic bicycle basket.

Decent quality however they are priced at little high compared to similar...size shape and materials used... not extremely overpriced but with that price point . It might be smart to shop around. Aipas could add a versatile cargo net or include something that would make the package a little more exclusive possibly...not sure why the rack is offered or included when the bikes we bought had racks... maybe offering the option of just the two baskets...(no rack)
