Longbow Basic

30lb 28" bow

I wasn't sure what to expect, as I'm a complete beginner. I just wanted something to use in the back garden for fun, I'm not competitive and don't want to join a club. I watched some utube videos first to get an Idea and was glad I did. The bow is nicely made and appears to be stained a mahogany colour. Once I had put the string on I looked to set it up as in the utube videos and was pleased to find it didn't need any adjustments. I was glad I got the 30lb rather than heavier ( 5'8" and fit just under 9stone) . I find I can hit a 60cm target consistently at 20 paces from the start. Very pleased with it and having fun! The only thing Id say is that the instructions with it are in German , but Google translate soon sorted that. Many thanks Nic.

I know nothing about archery (though getting tips on YouTube now). I have always been fascinated how so many ancient civilizations used variations of the technology and, like many little boys, I too wanted to be Robin Hood. The bow arrived quickly and I love it. The 35lbs is a bit heavy for a beginner like me. Strongly recommend the universal stringer.

I bought the 30lb beginner bow and am delighted with it, it feels so good in the hand to use. I am also a medieval recreationist and the bow compliments my costume when I'm using it at the shooting line.
