I was excited to receive my gem bottle. I never got to try it after I cleaned my bottle. It leaks so I fill it but water leaks out. What can I do to keep it from leaking?

Rusty Quartz Connectors. I am very disappointed that the Quartz connectors are made with a rusting material. The water started tasting awful after a while and then I saw the rust.
