Utility Dress

I am so impressed with this dress. An amazing friend who has very different body shape from mine recommended it, and no lie, I was skeptical. But it looks and feels amazing to wear, the elastic is gentle and not aggressive, and I wish I could get one in every color!

color me shocked that this dress even looks good on my 5' tall frame! the sleeves are kind of enormous but I dig it. I was initially put off by the stiffness of the fabric, but it softened up quickly after a few wears and washes. You cannot beat this dress for comfort. I reach for it on those sweltering summer days when I don't want anything touching my skin. It's easy to dress up or down and I anticipate being able to layer it with a turtleneck and wear it into the fall and winter. Favorite dress.

The quality of this dress is great. The canvas material is not too thick, not too thin. I will have to agree with other reviews about the zipper touching bare skin; not a great feeling but not a dealbreaker. What I love most is the uniqueness yet simplicity of the dress. I’ve never seen a dress quite like this: one that is timeless, able to be dressed up or down, functional. And you just gotta love that it has pockets. I have a 28” waist, and I ordered a small, which was the top range for that size (small chest so I didn’t even factor that into my decision). I think you can generally go with the size chart; despite warnings, I don’t feel like it ran big. Actually, I feel that I might go up to a M next time, not because the waist felt particularly tight or anything, but because I just prefer more room in my clothes. Note to the company: can you please post more models who are size M? It was hard to find one that wasn’t a S or L/XL. I have not washed it yet so we’ll see how that goes.
