Utility Dress

The quality of this dress is great. The canvas material is not too thick, not too thin. I will have to agree with other reviews about the zipper touching bare skin; not a great feeling but not a dealbreaker. What I love most is the uniqueness yet simplicity of the dress. I’ve never seen a dress quite like this: one that is timeless, able to be dressed up or down, functional. And you just gotta love that it has pockets. I have a 28” waist, and I ordered a small, which was the top range for that size (small chest so I didn’t even factor that into my decision). I think you can generally go with the size chart; despite warnings, I don’t feel like it ran big. Actually, I feel that I might go up to a M next time, not because the waist felt particularly tight or anything, but because I just prefer more room in my clothes. Note to the company: can you please post more models who are size M? It was hard to find one that wasn’t a S or L/XL. I have not washed it yet so we’ll see how that goes.

I’m not sure I would recommend this dress. It’s giving early pregancy vibes. It makes my waste look wider than it is. Looking back at most of the model pics they are putting their hands in the dress pockets. I imagine that’s bc this dress singes too high up on the waste if you have any regular size or long torso or any sizeable chest. It seems like it needs pulled down constantly. It’s beautifully constructed and the material makes me think it will last, but the fit only seems to look good on ppl with tiny rib cages and no boobs. I am glad I didn’t pay full price for it.

My only wish is that the zipper went all the way to the bottom like it does with the longer version.
