It’s not a mechanical pencil

It’s a graphite distribution system. From the time I first started writing and drawing, through drafting and architectural design, I’ve always appreciated a good writing instrument. While a lightweight pencil will help reduce fatigue, I still like it to have enough heft to know I have something in my hand. This one is perfect.

Of all the mechanical pencils I have owned, and please believe me, I have had many, the Mark Three is the absolute best! It is a simple design with quality parts. The Schmidt actuator is a solid performer. I have requested Schmidt actuators on custom made pens and it is extremely reliable, which is one of the reasons I researched this website. This pencil has smooth clean lines without a bolt-action or clip hanging on it. This means that whenever and however I pick it up, it is always oriented correctly, without me fussing and turning it over. Simple Works Best. I’ve read reviews about it being too pricey. There is a difference between price and cost. Price is what you pay now. Cost is what it works out to over the lifespan of the product. Considering the length of time I expect this pencil to be with me, the cost is very minimal. Would I recommend this pencil to others? Absolutely! Stop wasting your time and money on plastic gadgets and get a quality writing instrument. You are worth it, and you will appreciate it more as time goes on.

I enjoy using the pencil; however I find that when I need to use the eraser and place the cap back on it keeps coming loose and falling off.
