This is not what I expected. We were hoping it could be used to read words from the tv and cell phone. It doesn't scan the TV or Cell phone. Also, if it isn't held at a specific angle and slid across the paper correctly it will put out words of other languages or say nonsense. I wouldn't advise this for someone who has a mental disability that is developmentally delayed. We have thought about returning the pen. However, one advantage is that it will read the words scanned aloud, and keep the words on the document so the words can be used for practice reading.

Connection issues also problems turning off every 5 or 10 minutes.
