Average home theater upgraded
I don’t have a dedicated home theater so it’s a multipurpose family room that is an open concept with the kitchen. The microphone is easy to set up and simple to use. After calibration, the output from my subwoofer (sb17 ultra) sounds much fuller and even compared to before. My setup is the typical family room Denon receiver/ surround sound setup. Calibration is by Audyssey so it’s not hard core by any means. The improvements are definitely noticeable. There is more audible and tactile lower frequency in the room. Movie soundtracks sound fuller and more engaging . The microphone is highly recommended especially if you’ve already invested the money into a sound system.

Seems to work
As an ordinary Joe that is new to all this electronic situation setting mojo it was easy to use, not hard to setup, and seemed to work at its job. All I know is it sounds good and to me that's all that matters. Happy customer with SVS so far.

Outstanding Experience with the PB-5000s and Auto EQ
recently upgraded from a pair of PB12-Plus subwoofers that had served me faithfully for many years to dual PB-5000s. After losing one of my PB12s during a power outage, I honestly wasn't expecting the transition to be as emotional as it was. Those old subs had become part of my theater for a long time. What has impressed me just as much as the hardware has been the software and support behind it. I recently purchased the SVS Auto EQ microphone and was pleasantly surprised by how easy the entire process was. Using the dedicated microphone instead of my phone produced noticeably better measurements, and the app made dialing everything in remarkably straightforward. also appreciated that Auto EQ gave me a solid baseline while still allowing me to tailor the final response to my room and personal -references. As someone who enjoys -calibration and and squeezing every ounce of performance from my system, that flexibility is invaluable. My theater is built around a Marantz AV20 processor, Arendal 1723 speakers, and the dual PB-5000s have become the foundation that ties everything together. The combination delivers effortless low-frequency extension, incredible control, and the kind of room-pressurizing bass that reminds me why I love this hobby. Perhaps the biggest compliment I can give is this: thanks the the auto eq mic the subs don’t just maje movies loud they make them believable. Explosions have weight, musical scores have depth, and quiet scenes carry an underlying sense of realism that only great bass can provide.
