I’ve been testing the LED Lash Plus light along with the black glue and the blue clear glue, and here is my honest review so far.
Black Glue:
The curing time is about 10 seconds when I count, and overall the curing has been good. I haven’t experienced many stickies, which is a big plus. However, it does not have that “magnetic” feeling that regular lash glue has. I have to place the extension and hold it in position with the light until it cures, otherwise it won’t stay immediately. I cannot move away quickly like I would with traditional adhesive, which slows down my application.
Blue Clear Glue:
I am currently using the clear glue, and it is not my favorite. It feels like it takes longer to cure compared to the black glue. Sometimes I have to count up to 20 seconds because it does not want to stay and cure fast enough. It also lacks the magnetic grip that regular lash glue usually has, so I have to hold the lash in place longer. From my experience so far, the clear glue cures slower overall.
About the LED Lash Plus Light:
I do like the light. One of the biggest advantages is client comfort. Clients do not feel any heat, discomfort, or sensitivity in their eyes. They do not even notice that I am working with a light, which I really like. Compared to larger overhead UV lights, this one feels much softer and more comfortable for clients.
Even when I use it on the highest setting, I have noticed that curing is not always as fast as expected. Sometimes I have to adjust my tweezers so the light is directly on top of the glue to make sure it cures properly. This does not happen every time, but it does happen occasionally, even when I am using a small glue amount.
Since the light is attached to my placement tweezers, I have to stay in place and count around 10 seconds for each lash before moving. With bigger overhead UV lights, the curing continues even if I let go of the tweezers. With the Lash Plus system, I cannot move until I am sure the glue is fully cured, which slows down my workflow.
The cable can sometimes get in the way when grabbing lashes or moving quickly, although it is not a major issue.
Overall Opinion:
Overall, it is a good product and not a bad system at all. It has clear advantages, especially in terms of client comfort and no heat sensation. However, it does slow down my speed and requires more holding time compared to traditional lash glue or overhead curing lights. It is slightly expensive for the speed trade-off, but it still has value and potential with some minor improvements.
