You body is worth the money!
I was training for years, got in great shape, chilled a bit too much, got 20 kg back, did not train properly for two years, got back into training now. So, I know my way around, in any way. Tried many apps, many plans, from coaches in the gym, from YouTube, from friends, gym bros and so on. PDF guides seem so outdated, but I made good experiences with those before, since I tried a plan from Built WIth Science before - but this plan just did not match with me. I then, as kind of a last try regarding workout guides from influencers, decided to try the Pure Bodybuilding guide from Jeff Nippard. I now use the guide for 30 days - and I am really enthusiastic about it. A word on the side - I am 46 years old, with a 40 hours work week, 2 little kids, married, many hobbies. So it was not easy to integrate 4 days (plus optional 5th day) Full Body training (which is the version I chose) in my week. But I managed to do it, and I feel great! I make visible progress in muscle building (finally I hear "oh, I can see you work out!" more often than "huh, got some kilos, eh?" :D), I feel strong, and I am not too tired. The plan pretty much is like a bro split, but the exercises are scattered over the whole week, while still having kind of a focus - so it is not like 4 days the same training, but every day full body, with (for example) Monday full body but a bit more emphasis on back, Tuesday on chest, Wednesday rest day, Thursday arms and core, Friday shoulders, and if you want you can do weak point exercises and extra arms fun on Saturday. But instead of doing 1 day 6 exercises only for back and biceps, you now have everyday at least one exercises for each, or a compound movement for both, and on the "focus day" maybe two of those. Works just fine for me, so I am never too exhausted! I personally do not manage to make all 5 trainings every week though, to be honest - but that is not important, even 2 or 3 days really do a lot, since every muscle group is involved every workout day, so you hit it 2 times a week at least and thus will grow. Especially as a "returner" I make really quick gains and feel awesome. So, yes - I totally recommend the workout guides. The PDFs, of course, are not the best in usability, a lot of scrolling and zooming, and with the Excels I can't work at all, really. I track the sets, RPE and so on in my Hevy app, which works out quite fine for me. But I really like the example videos, and I prefer a well structured PDF over a baldy put together app. There is a bit much focus on cable exercises, which can be a problem,if your gym does not have many of those, and in certain times of the day (at least in my gym) it can be quite difficult to get access to cable towers for several exercises in a row. But usually there is some alternative exercise anyway, that does not need cables. So, 5 of 5 stars, program is structured very nicely, it works perfectly and is fun. And worth the money, if you ask me. But don't agree to receive the newsletter, you will get spammed quite massively :D
