VGR GameCube Lid Switch

Fast delivery to the states from Canada 📨✈️ Packaged well; arrived in excellent condition. Took it to our local repair guy to remove old and solder new capacitors to the optical drive circuit board... Two days later: happy, happy sixteen year old bouncing in the livingroom while the Super Smash Bros intro played. The GameCube is ready for 16th birthday party Smash Bros showdown 🥰

I love them the fact that you can build them yourself or have them already assembled for an affordable price. Makes my restoration business go by a lot smoother and better thank you.

I ordered the VGR GameCube Lid switch version 2.0 Assembled with bypass. The installation quick, just one screw and one connector. I had my GC open to replace the front controller panel and dropped this in while I was there. After I got the magnet adjusted correctly it was like magic, I could hear when the magnet engaged the reed switch and the spindle motor spun up. I DO recommend following the (great) instructions provided by the seller. (youtube)The most difficult part of the installation I found was aligning the magnet to activate the reed switch but again the seller works you though it in the video and text documentation.
